Marvel Zombies is going to feature a whole lot of Kamala Khan when it eventually drops on Disney+.

This particular insight was teased at Comic-Con, with a Marvel Studios representative sharing: "There's much Kamala love in our zombie show".

Kamala stars in the MArvel universe as Ms Marvel, a youngster from the comics who transforms from mere fangirl to full-on superhero, capable of shapeshifting (amongst other things) when she slips on magical bangles.

Following Iman Vellani's debut as the character in her own solo series this year, we'd expect her to reprise the role through voice in Zombies.

The flesh-chewing show itself is a spin-off from a What If... ? episode imagining the consequences of a Quantum Realm virus which had infected Earth; the majority of the world's superheros turning into zombies, leaving the rest to battle them.

Further to that, did you know that the late, great Chadwick Boseman was being lined up for a What If... ? spinoff too?

"Chadwick had recorded his Star Lord T'Challa stuff early," director Bryan Andrews previously said. "But we had those later episodes that he appeared in sporadically, and it was a long stretch before we got him [again]. And it was not long after the final recording that he passed.

"I think he was also trying to make an effort because T'Challa was so important to him – and also this new version of Star Lord T'Challa was so important to him. He dug it. I don't know if he knew this, but there was planning to have Star Lord T'Challa spin off into his own show with that universe and crew. We were all very excited. We know he would have loved it, too."

Marvel's Zombies will stream exclusively on Disney+.
