Masked men threatened fuel station employee in late-night robbery

Two masked men threatened a fuel station employee in a late-night robbery. The incident happened shortly before 12.20am at the Esso garage on Wrexham Road in Rhostyllen on Sunday, June 9.

After threatening the staff member, the robbers made off with tobacco and cash, North Wales Police said. The force is following "some good lines of enquiry" as it investigates the robbery, said Detective Inspector Chris Owen.

He added: “I would like to reassure the community that incidents of this nature are rare in Wrexham, and there is not believed to be any wider threat the community.” The force urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact them via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference 2400051887.
