Joel Dommett has hosted both seasons of the bonkers ITV show (ITV)

Joel Dommett has made a bold promise ahead of The Masked Singer’s grand final, telling fans one of the reveals will be a “real surprise”.

Just three celebrities remain in the competition and Saturday’s series finale will see all of them unmasked and one crowned winner.

Teasing the episode during an interview on Friday’s Loose Women, Dommett said the identity of either Sausage, Badger or Robin will come as a shock to viewers.

He told the panel: “The final three are all incredible names, and one of them especially no one’s really been saying online that much so it’s going to be a real surprise.”

The presenter also addressed rumours that Stacey Solomon – who was part of the Loose Women panel he was speaking to – could be Sausage.

"Sorry but contractually I can’t say,” he laughed, prompting the former X Factor star to respond: "Joel, I was really hoping you could clear this up for me!"

"But me and you both know whether you are or whether you are not Sausage,” Joel quipped.

Plenty of fans have claimed Solomon is the singer inside the Sausage costume, while others are convinced the mystery vocalist is Sheridan Smith or Joss Stone.

Meanwhile, viewers are pretty certain Aston Merrygold is Robin – but the identity of Badger is definitely still up for debate.

Dommett also admitted that earlier in the series, he genuinely thought his wife Hannah Cooper could have been one of this year’s singers.

“There was a real moment where I thought Alien was Hannah. The worst part of it is, I was looking at Alien and thinking, 'I don't know if this isn't my wife'," he said. "I think the funny thing is that people want to know, but they don't.

“In a certain way you expect someone like Mel B, but you don't expect Glenn Hoddle to be a clock.

"It's so hard, I think they've definitely stepped it up in terms of the names - you just never know who's going to be in those costumes."
