Massive blaze breaks out at Glasgow flat as emergency services rush to scene

Emergency services have raced to a home in Glasgow after a raging inferno tore through a property in Springburrn.

The Scottish Fire Service (SFRS) received reports of the blaze at 19:43 and hours later four fire engines remain at the scene tackling the fire.

Police and an ambulance also attended the scene but it is unconfirmed if there are any casualties.

Concerning images from the incident show several police vans attending the incident and the street taped off from the public.

One ambulance is parked outside the burnt-out property which is charred black around the top-floor windows from the blaze.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they received the call at 19:36 and four appliances remain at the scene.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have also been approached for comment.
