A popular Euros event in Midlothian has suddenly been scrapped leaving fans gutted.

The immersive Euro event in Kings Park in Dalkeith was set to be one of the biggest Euro fan zones in the Lothians where the Tartan Army could enjoy the tournament. The event organisers promised a massive outdoor LED screen with 'fun for all the family at a funfair with stalls, games- and a fully licensed outdoor bar for the adult.

However, with regret the organisers announced on Wednesday that the event has suddenly been cancelled.

Taking to social media, they said how it had been an 'incredibly difficult decision' but their 'hands were tied'. They went on to explain that a 'major investor has pulled out' unexpectedly with just weeks to go until the season.

Customers can expect refunds 'without delay' and are being urged to check their emails.

On social media the event organisers wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that we regret to inform you that we have been forced to cancel our upcoming Euro's Fanzone 2024 event.

"This has been an incredibly difficult decision for the whole team behind this event, made with our hands tied as a major investor has pulled out unprofessionally so close to the event.

"We recognise how upsetting this is for all of you who have bought tickets, this was set to be a massive and successful event but unfortunately we have exhausted all possibilities.
