Mathew Horne says rumours of 2020 'Gavin and Stacey' Christmas special are 'ridiculous'
Mathew Horne has said rumours of another Gavin and Stacey Christmas special happening this year are 'ridiculous'.
The Gavin actor also added that it would be "impossible" for creators and writers Ruth Jones and James Corden to write any more during lockdown.
He told Digital Spy: "It's almost impossible really for James and Ruth to write any more at the moment considering the situation because they don't like to write remotely, they always have to be in the same room, and that's certainly not been possible for a long while now.

"So any rumours that there are… I heard a rumour from one of my friends the other day that we’re making another Christmas special this year, which is ridiculous."
There has been no official word on whether there will be a follow-up to the record-breaking special which ended on a cliffhanger as Jones' character Nessa proposed to Corden's Smithy.
Many of the cast members have spoken about the possibility of a follow-up in the future, with Horne stating: "I don't think that James and Ruth can possibly leave it where it is. Because, you know, we left it on a cliffhanger and I don't think it would be right to leave it there."
Although, he added he had "no idea" about the future of the show.
Back in February, Corden said there were "no plans to make another [special] at the moment".
The comedy became the UK's most-watched scripted show of the decade when it returned in December with the total amount of viewers, taking into account recording and on-demand, amounting to 17.1 million.
