In the as-yet-untitled comedy series, when a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is appointed President of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she is the right choice for the job, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.

Greenfield plays Lev Levy, a good-natured pediatrician and Isla’s encouraging fiancé. Agada plays Dyson Gibbs, brought up from the D-League by Isla, he is an eager and naive rookie who just wants to prove himself. DiLiegro plays Badrag Knauss, an Eastern European player on the Waves. Although massive in stature, and at times quite blunt, Badrag often surprises the team with his thoughtfulness.

The ten-part series is written and executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, who serves as showrunner. Hudson, 3 Arts’ Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis also EP the series, which is produced by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Kaling is under an overall deal. James Ponsoldt (Daisy Jones & The Six and Shrinking) will direct the first two episodes.

Greenfield is repped by UTA, Untitled and Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett & Kole. Agada is repped by Principal Entertainment and Heroes and Villains Entertainment.
