Max Johnston savours Sturm Graz title glory to earn Champions League crack and boost Scotland Euro 2024 hopes

Max Johnston helped Sturm Graz to lift the Austrian Bundesliga.

The Scotland under-21 cap came off the bench to help his side seal a 2-0 win over Klagenfurt. The win was enough to see off Red Bull Salzburg and for Graz to make it a league and cup double. Johnston and his team can now look forward to a crack at next season’s Champions League.

The 20-year-old has his first two senior medals and it comes on the back of a season where he was also called into Steve Clarke’s squad for the friendly in France. It is the first time in 13 years that Graz club have been crowned champions. The Scotland under-21 cap has made more than 20 appearances in the Austrian top-flight and more than 35 games all in, including games in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference Leagues.
