Here’s What’s New on Max in June 2024

The wait to return to Westeros is almost over, as summer is coming and “House of the Dragon” Season 2 is coming with it. The “Game of Thrones” prequel series returns for its second season on June 16, more than a year after the Season 1 finale aired in October 2022.

The much-hyped return is the crown jewel of new movies and shows on Max this month. Plus, it’s got its own “World of Westeros” collection to match, which includes behind-the-scenes content from Season 1, essential episodes of “Game of Thrones,” a highlight on the best battles and much more.

Also new on Max in June, a Julio Torres two-fer. The writer, comedian and “Los Espookys” co-creator is back with a new show, “Fantasmas,” as well as the streaming debut of his A24 movie “Problemista.” More highlights include the Max Original Dakota Johnson movie “Am I OK?,” HBO documentary series “Ren Faire” and a new comedy special from “Hacks” star Hannah Einbinder.
