‘Maxipad Bandit’ Carries Out Burglary Wearing Sanitary Pad Disguise

A man has been dubbed the ‘Maxipad Bandit’ after breaking into a store wearing a bizarre sanitary pad disguise.

Gary Victor, 51, was arrested after allegedly using the product to cover his eyes during a burglary in California last week.

CCTV footage from an auto-parts shop in Apple Valley appears to show Victor with a sanitary pad across his face.

Store owner Mark Wedell told NBC4 News: “Right away everybody started saying we should call this guy the Maxipad Bandit.”

Police recognised Victor in the footage and tracked him down to a home nearby.

They recovered the stolen goods and the sanitary pad.

Police believe Victor may have been under the influence of something.

“We had a pretty good picture of his face cause he came to the store the first time and looked in the window without his maxipad on,” said Wedell.

“But when he came back and he had the maxipad over his eyes I guess he thought it was going to take care of everything.”
