McDonald's axes menu favourite across UK and fans say 'all we ask'

McDonald’s has angered customers as it plans to axe a "game changer" favourite item next week in a big menu shake up. McDonald's, the fast food giant, is shaking up its menu next week with eight items to be added to its offering.

12 items in total are coming off menus, including the Biscoff McFlurry. One shopper took to Twitter/X in the wake of the decision and begged the fast food chain: "Can't you just keep the Lotus Biscoff Mcflurry permanently?

"That's all I ask!" A second added: "Please can these stay as a permanent McFlurry I absolutely love them!" The full list of items being dropped next week includes the Biscoff McFlurry - £1.99, Biscoff McFlurry mini - £1.59 and Galaxy Caramel Pie - £1.99.

Other items being scrapped include the Biscoff Frappe - £2.99 as well as the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry - £1.99, the Galaxy Chocolate Mini McFlurry - £1.59, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe - £4.89, the Quarter Deluxe Medium Meal - £6.59 and Chicken Big Mac - £4.69.

Other menu items being pulled from restaurants in the country include the Chicken Big Mac Meal - £6.49 as well as the Cheese & Herb Melts - £2.89. The Biscoff McFlurry and Biscoff Frappe came to restaurants from 17 April as one of the most requested collabs.

The Biscoff® McFlurry priced at £1.99 featured a Biscoff biscuit crumb swirled onto the soft serve giving it that extra crunchy taste. McDonald's said at the time of the product launch: "Its eagerly awaited return will have fans buzzing with excitement especially with McDonald’s newest Biscoff creation!"

It added: "The Biscoff Frappe priced at £2.99 has a vanilla flavour base, blended with ice and Biscoff biscuit crumb. Topped with caramel flavoured cream and a Biscoff biscuit crumb dusting making it an ideal treat this Spring."
