McDonald's has fans in a frenzy as US favourite finally makes it's way to the UK

McDonald's is introducing a new item from its American menu just in time for the summer season.

However, fans will be sad to hear it won't be a permanent addition.

Last month, the fast food giant revamped its offerings, launching a new Hat Trick burger that boasts three beef patties, cheese and grilled onions. The Chicken Sharebox and the much-loved Mozzarella Bites have also made a grand comeback.

For those with a sweet tooth, McDonald's has introduced a new Skittles McFlurry as well as the previously discontinued Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.

If these don't tickle your taste buds, fret not as a popular item from the US menu will make a special appearance this month, and food enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement.

The Oreo Frappe will be available in stores from June 26, but only until September 3. This delightful beverage features a vanilla base blended with ice and Oreo pieces, topped off with whipped cream and, of course, more Oreos.

Priced at £3.09 for a regular size and £3.39 for a large, McDonald's describes this drink as the 'perfect sweet treat to cool down with this summer'. It's evident that this new addition will be a hit among customers with a penchant for sweets.

Social media users were quick to express their excitement in the comments section, with hundreds tagging their friends to share the news. "Oh my god, I need," one Facebook user enthusiastically commented. While another dramatically added: "I will die."
