McDonald's has given three days notice to chicken nugget fans ahead of new rules that will come into force across all UK restaurants for one day only.

Diners who are partial to a Double McMuffin will also notice some changes on Monday, July 1. On this day, McDonald's customers will be able to take advantage of huge discounts on both popular items.

People will be able to get their hands on a Double McMuffin for 30% off at £1.99, and 6 Chicken McNuggets for half the usual price, at £1.39. Certain rules apply, as the deal is only available on Monday, and exclusively for customers using the McDonald's app.

Chicken McNuggets are available from 11am, but anyone getting to McDonald's earlier on Monday can bag themselves the reduced-price Double McMuffin. The breakfast item consists of either two pork sausage patties or two rashers of bacon, with a free range egg and a slice of cheese, in a toasted English muffin.

Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of these deals by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards. The initiative means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so this week’s offers will get you 199 points when grabbing a Double McMuffin and 139 points when picking up Six Chicken McNuggets.
