McDonald’s has announced an all-new vegan dessert for its customers. The fast food chain will be trialling the sweet treat in a number of selected restaurants across parts of England and Ireland.

The brand new McDonald’s Vegan Scoop is a sweet frozen dessert being introduced this summer. It is available in two different flavours - Chocolate and Strawberry - it also has a vegan seal of approval from the Vegetarian Society.

The dessert won’t be available nationwide just yet. Priced at £1.59 each, the McDonald’s Vegan Scoop will be available in 52 restaurants in north-west England, including Manchester, Rochdale, Ardwick, Bury, Denton, Stockport, and Ashton-Under-Lyne from Wednesday, June 12 until Tuesday, September 3.

McDonald's is also introducing the a brand new ice lolly. The McFreezy is a frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and puree, available in either Orange or Mango and Pineapple flavour.

The McFreezy will also be available in a selected number of restaurants until September 3. McDonald’s Vegan Scoop and McFreezy are just two of many vegan accredited items available at McDonald’s, including McPlant and Vegetable Deluxe.

But that’s not all. McDonald’s will be serving Oreo Frappes for frappe fans in restaurants across the UK too. Available in restaurants only from Wednesday, June 26 to September 3, it is priced at £3.09 for a regular and £3.39 for a large.

The brand will be on hand to serve over 2,000 free portions of its delectable fries every day of each festival it’ll pitch up at. This year’s festival line-up includes Rockstar Energy presents Parklife, Manchester, Isle of Wight, Wireless and Leeds Festival.

And in memory of TV presenter Caroline Flack, McDonald’s will be heading back to Englefield House for Flackstock 2024. McDonald’s presence will be in both the main arena and the VIP areas of the festivals, to help celebrate its guests as V.I.Ps (Very Important Potatoes). It will also be celebrating the summer of the Euros with a few small surprises along the way.
