McDonald's has unveiled new items on its menu today including a twist on the classic Big Mac. The fast food behemoth will rollout the changes while reintroducing some old favourites and presenting exciting new options.

Among the novel additions are Cheese and Herb Melts, perfect for a quick bite, and the Chicken Big Mac, which first graced UK shores in 2022. The deluxe Quarter Pounder will also be returning, along with the Galaxy Caramel Pie first spotted last December and a Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.

While the new menu has been eagerly awaited, devotees of the fast food chain will only have six weeks to savour it. Those keen to sample the Biscoff Frappe will need to part with £2.99, while the McFlurry will set you back £1.99, according to the Express, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The Chicken Big Mac, now making its fourth appearance, was initially launched in Australia. This variation on the classic Big Mac features a triple-layered bun, two chicken patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and Big Mac sauce.

It can be purchased as a single item for £4.69 or as part of a meal for £6.49. The new Cheese and Herb melts are priced at £2.89 for a pack of five or £7.09 for a larger share box. These savoury treats are made from emmental and mozzarella cheese wrapped in herb-infused breadcrumbs, served with a tangy tomato dip.

The Quarter Pounder Deluxe, priced at £4.89, boasts a succulent beef patty adorned with mustard, ketchup, onion, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, and pickles. This burger is then crowned with two slices of cheese and served in a toasted bun sprinkled with sesame seeds. For an extra £6.59, McDonald's enthusiasts can upgrade the burger to a meal deal that includes fries and a drink.

The Galaxy Caramel Pie, which made its debut last year, is also making a comeback as part of the summer menu. This luxurious dessert, costing £1.99, features a Galaxy-flavoured caramel filling encased in a crispy chocolate pastry.

This sweet delight is joined by the return of the Galaxy McFlurry, also priced at £1.99, which blends soft ice cream with chocolate drops and sauce. As with all changes to McDonald's menu, some items will be removed to make way for new ones. This includes the popular halloumi fries, which have been a hit with customers since their introduction.
