The biscuit landscape has been revolutionised as McVitie's unveils a new dunkable delight.

Gold Digestives have landed on supermarket shelves to much fanfare, with biscuit enthusiasts buzzing about the latest treat. This delectable creation is a fusion of two iconic McVitie's offerings, combining the retro Gold bar from the 80s with the timeless Digestive biscuit.

This mash-up delivers a luscious blend of golden caramel flavour with the sweet and savoury notes of the classic Digestive, and it's proving to be a hit with those with a sweet tooth. The limited-edition Gold Digestives became available in July, providing an "indulgent little pick-me-up" for consumers.

Joining a lineage that dates back to the original Digestive first baked in 1892, Gold Digestives expand the family of flavours which includes Milk, Dark, and White Chocolate the latter having been a massive success upon its release last summer.

As we near the centenary of the Milk Chocolate Digestive, this bold collaboration offers biscuit fans a unique taste adventure that truly distinguishes itself in both the biscuit aisle and the market at large.

The buzz around these biscuits is palpable, with social media users sharing their excitement after an image of the biscuits was shared on the Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK Facebook page.

The accompanying post exclaimed: "Here's a closer look at the New Golden Caramel McVitie's Digestives from Sainsbury's. They taste absolutely delicious, extremely moreish and go perfectly alongside a cup of tea."

Since the biscuits have made their debut on social media, they've become the talk of over 15,000 people, suggesting Britain seemingly can't get enough of them.

One enthusiast noted: "I need some today." Whilst another penned: "I need these in my life."

A third chimed in: "We definitely need these." Suggestively, a fourth person tagged her partner, stating: "You work next to Sainsbury's husband. Make my day."

The announcement informs us that McVitie's Gold Chocolate Digestives will hit the shelves in Sainsbury's starting from July 7, with plans to roll out into other UK supermarkets and stores, such as Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-op and more, in due course.
