McVitie's merges two iconic flavours to create delicious 'Gold' Digestives

McVitie's has revolutionised the biscuit world with a new dunker, Gold Digestives.

The biscuits are already causing a stir, and they're days away from hitting shelves. Much to biscuit lovers' delight, the innovative creation involves a fusion of two of McVitie's most beloved biscuits - the nostalgic 80s Gold bar and the timeless Digestive.

The snack sees the golden caramel flavour intertwined with the sweet and salty Digestive biscuit, and it appears to be a hit with sweet enthusiasts. McVitie's limited-edition Gold Digestives, which will launch in July, are said to provide an "indulgent little pick-me-up".

The original Digestive was first baked in 1892, and the Gold Digestives join a range of existing flavours including Milk, Dark and White Chocolate, which was a massive success when it was introduced last summer.

As we near the 100th anniversary of the Milk Chocolate Digestive, this unexpected and thrilling brand collaboration offers biscuit fans nationwide a truly unique taste experience that distinguishes itself from the rest.

People have already been raving about the sweet treats, and they sparked a lot of chatter after a picture of them was shared on the Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK Facebook page.

The post read: "Here's a closer look at the New Golden Caramel McVitie's Digestives from Sainsbury's. They taste absolutely delicious, extremely moreish and go perfectly alongside a cup of tea."

Since news of the biscuits was shared on social media, they've gained a lot of attention, with over 15,000 people offering their thoughts on the confectionary creations. Clearly, Brits have biscuits on their minds.

One person said: "I need some today." Another biscuit enthusiast stated: "I need these in my life."

A third commented: "We definitely need these." A fourth, meanwhile, tagged her spouse, and declared: "You work next to Sainsbury's husband. Make my day."
