Mean Girls star Renee Rapp 'is tired of wearing pink'
Renee Rapp feels "tired of wearing pink" after playing Regina George for the last five years.
The 24-year-old actress has played the part of Regina in the 'Mean Girls' Broadway show and the new movie - but Renee is now ready to move on from the iconic character.
She told 'Extra': "It has been five years of my life now … I’m good with it.
"I’m tired of wearing pink. I’ve had it, I’m good on it. I don’t want to do it anymore."
Rachel McAdams played the part of Regina in the original 'Mean Girls' movie in 2004.
And Renee is curious to know what Rachel, 45, thinks of the new film.
She said: "If she sees it and she’s like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s hot,’ then wait, she should see it."
The new movie features a cameo appearance from Lindsay Lohan, and Tina Fey - who wrote the film - recently revealed that she was delighted to reunite with actress, who starred as Cady Heron in the original 'Mean Girls'.
Tina, 53, told Entertainment Weekly: "Paramount was like, 'Can you get any of the original ladies?' And I was like, 'I can't fit five people in'. I felt like if I could only get one person as a surprise, the original movie is really Lindsay's movie."
Lindsay plays a Mathlete moderator in the new film, and Tina was thrilled to have her in the film.
She said: "As great as [the original cast] are, she's the heart of that movie. And I thought, well, what could she do? I didn't think [she should] play a teacher.
"And just to have her do that late in the movie, it also feels like it comes, I hope, at a time where fans weren't expecting one more little surprise. It also lets her be smart, which Cady is."
