What Prince William, Princess Eugenie and More Wore to the Duke of Westminster’s Wedding

Olivia Henson officially joined the British aristocracy on Friday after her wedding to Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster. The couple exchanged vows at Chester Cathedral in northwest England with Prince William, Princess Eugenie of York and other members of the royal family in attendance.

Henson will assume the title of Duchess of Westminster, which her mother-in-law, Natalia Grosvenor, previously held.

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Henson attended the prestigious Dragon School in Oxford and later the Marlborough College, where Princess Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton were once students. Before starting her career as an account manager, Henson moved to Dublin, where she received a 2:1 in Hispanic Studies and Italian from Trinity College.

Henson is a senior account manager at Belazu, an ethical food production company based in London. Belazu is known for importing high-quality ingredients such as rose harissa, extra virgin olive oil and preserved lemons from across Europe. She has also worked with other companies dedicated to sustainable food options, including Daily Dose Juices and No.1 Rosemary Water.

Little is known about Henson outside her career. She has kept her life private and has almost zero social media presence.

The new duchess was reportedly introduced to Hugh Grosvenor by friends in 2021. They got engaged in April 2023 at the same 11,000-acre estate where the duke grew up. The couple is expected to move to the estate after the wedding.

The Duke of Westminster inherited his title at the age of 25 following the death of his father, Gerald Grosvenor, in 2016. Along with the title, the young aristocrat also became a shareholder of The Grosvenor Group, which has land holdings, including 1,500 properties across 60 countries, and owns 50 percent of Mayfair, an area located in the City of Westminster.

The Duke of Westminster has an estimated net worth of 12 billion euros ($15.3 million) and is well-connected to the Royal Family. He is the godfather of Prince Archie, the firstborn of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and also the godfather of Prince George, the firstborn of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

During the wedding, Olivia Henson wore a bespoke ivory silk crepe satin dress and veil designed by Emma Victoria Payne. The veil featured floral motifs and edgings from Henson’s great-great-grandmother’s veil. Henson also wore the Fabergé Myrtle Leaf Tiara, historically worn by Grosvenor brides on their wedding day. The tiara has been in the Grosvenor family since its creation in 1906.
