Meet Riley, the 'super sweet' rescue dog waiting to meet his match and find a forever home.

This four-year-old Lurcher is a smash hit with staff at Dogs Trust Darlington, who describe Riley as a loving, playful and loyal boy once he gets to know you. This chap loves a tennis ball and showing off his enviable ball skills.

His impressive moves have not gone unnoticed by his Dogs Trust carers, who say he keenly chases every ball and has the energy of any elite athlete when it comes to playing. But he also loves snuggling up in a duvet.

Riley lacks confidence in life and can find new situations overwhelming. He is sociable with other dogs and enjoys having walking friends but will need to be the only pooch in the home. He would also be best suited to an adult only home, living with a maximum of two people who are willing to carry on his training. Few visitors to the home would be ideal for Riley as he does prefer a calm environment.

Riley will need to have his family around for him initially to help him settle into his new life and build up any leaving hours gradually over time.

The team at Dogs Trust Darlington hope it will soon be Game, Set and Match for this beautiful lad as he bounds off to his forever home. More information is available about Riley here.
