Megan Thee Stallion Sets Hot Girl Summer Tour; Dates To Be Announced
Megan Thee Stallion will headline a tour this summer to support her upcoming third album, though details – including tour dates and album title – are still to be announced.
The rapper made the announcement today on ABC’s Good Morning America. “Oh, we’re having the tour this year,” she said today. “The Hot Girl Summer Tour is gonna be 2024 summer time. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside during my early days during the summer since 2019, so this is gonna be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the Hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”

Although tour dates have not been announced, Megan has been confirmed for appearances in May at the Boston Calling and Bottlerock Napa Valley music festivals, and in June at Bonnaroo in Tennessee.
The tour announcement follows a rough few years in which Megan largely avoided the spotlight and the music industry: In 2020, she was shot in the foot by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, who was sentenced last August to a 10-year prison sentence.
“Music just seemed so negative to me,” Megan said on GMA today – watch a clip below. “I just wasn’t in a good space mentally after everything that had happened to me and it just all felt like, ‘I’m tired of this. I’m tired of fighting.’ But I had to tell myself, you know what, I don’t want to give up.”
Controversy might not be quite so easy to give up though. Her longstanding feud with rapper Nicki Minaj remains firmly in place. Last week, Megan released the single “Hiss” from the upcoming album, which includes the line, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law.” The lyric was widely interpreted as a reference to Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender due to his 1995 conviction on the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl.
Minaj responded with her own new single, “Big Foot,” which includes the line, “Bad bitch/she like 6 foot/I call her Big Foot/the bitch fell off/I said get up on your good foot.”
