Meghan Markle says Lilibet spoke six words that 'blew her away' as she opens up on motherhood

An emotional Meghan Markle has shared a heartwarming six-word sentence her daughter Lilibet said that completely took her by surprise.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her "chatty, sweet" children, Archie, aged 4, and two year old Lilibet, during an intimate conversation in Nigeria, reports the Mirror.

Meghan, who was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry, spoke candidly about the delights and hurdles of motherhood at a panel discussing women's leadership.

The 42-year-old ex-actress seized the moment to recount a touching moment with her young daughter Lilibet to the audience.

She recounted: "Our daughter, Lili, she's much, much tinier than you guys. She's about to turn three, and a few weeks ago she looked at me and she would just see the reflection in my eyes. And she goes, 'Mama, I see me in you'."

Meghan explained that Lilibet's comment was meant "really literally," and it resonated deeply with her.

She continued: "I thought, yes, I do see me in you, and you see me in you. As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well."

Additionally, Meghan reminisced about an influential breakfast meeting with NBCUniversal's vice-chair Bonnie Hammer, where she sought guidance on balancing her career with family life.

Meghan revealed: "She invited me to have breakfast, and I thought this was just the biggest deal in the world. And I asked her that exact question. I said:'How do you find the balance? ' And she said: 'You don't, you'll never find the balance'."

Speaking to People magazine about the unexpected twists and turns her life has taken, Meghan admitted: "And this was before I was married. This was before I had children. This is before all the things in my life have certainly had a plot twist."

Sharing her thoughts on motherhood and her children's characters, Meghan created a heartfelt moment by stating: "What I think that means now is that that balance will always change for you ... What seems balanced 10 years ago is going to shift, and so being a mom has always been a dream of mine and I'm so fortunate that we have two beautiful, healthy, very chatty, sweet children. I love being a mum."

Last Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex commenced a whirlwind 72-hour tour of Nigeria with an initial stop at the Lightway Academy school in Abuja, the country's capital.
