Spice Up Your Life: Mel B set to launch range of sex toys

Spice Girl Mel B is planning to give her fans what they really, really want with her own range of sex toys.

The singer is said to have been inspired to get into the sex toy market after hearing British women’s frustrations about not being able to get hold of a more varied range of vibrators.

According to The Sun, Mel has been researching what’s available and what’s not, and has even been in talks about designs.

Her spokeswoman said: “It’s something she wants to do properly with the right manufacturers.”

Mel isn’t shy in talking about sex and earlier this year revealed that she had had a fling with bandmate Geri Horner during their 90s heyday.

She claimed that the relationship had lasted for up to a year, but Horner had a different recollection of events.

A statement from Horner’s rep said: "It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days.

“She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family."

Mel won’t be the first celebrity to bring out a bedroom range, as Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow famously launched some very pricey “personal” items under her Goop brand recently.

They include vibrators, including one on a necklace for £145, a £169 pelvic floor tightener, and a bottle of pubic hair oil for £45.

It’s unclear when Mel’s range would be likely to launch as she’s currently got her work cut out being on tour with the Spice Girls.

The band are in the thick of their Spice World comeback tour, with any awkwardness about Mel and Geri’s lesbian romance revelations seemingly swept under the carpet.
