Melissa Joan Hart is paying tribute to another late Sabrina the Teenage Witch costar — Doug Sheehan.

The actress, 48, shared some heartfelt words on Instagram for Sheehan, who played her character Sabrina’s father Edward “Ted” Spellman in the latter half of the beloved 90’s series, following the news of his death on June 29 at the age of 75.

“Remembering #DougSheehan tonight after hearing about his passing!” Hart wrote in a July 10 Instagram post alongside a throwback photo of herself and Sheehan during the 1999 episode “No Place Like Home,” which featured Britney Spears as a guest star.

"The episodes of #SabrinaTheTeenageWitch I get asked about most are the one with @britneyspears and the finale, and Doug was a big part of both of those as he played my Dad,” she continued. “Sending love to his family and friends in this sad time!”

Wyoming-based Kane Funeral Home announced that the General Hospital actor died "peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, June 29, 2024, with his loving wife at his side” and that funeral "services are pending at this time.”

Sheehan was best known for his role as Joe Kelly in General Hospital, though he also appeared in several TV shows, including Charlie’s Angels, Dallas spinoff Knots Landing, Cheers and the Clueless TV series.

The Melissa & Joey star’s post dedicated to Sheehan comes a week after she mourned the death of fellow Sabrina the Teenage Witch actor Martin Mull, who died on June 28 at the age of 80.

Hart remembered Mull, who played Principal Willard Kraft on the show from 1997 to 2000, in a statement shared with PEOPLE, calling him “a bright light to everyone who knew him” and “an immense talent who made comedy look easy.”

“His work ethic was only matched by his love for everyone he encountered,” she said of Mull. “I'll always remember how he told me he took every job that came his way because in this business you never know when it's your last job.”

“This helped cement my work ethic in this industry no matter how tough times can get. How blessed we were to get to be in his orbit for our time on Sabrina,” she concluded.

Hart also shared in a separate Instagram tribute that Mull once explained to her the reason behind why he took on so many jobs in the entertainment industry, saying that he did so “just in case the train comes to an end.”

"He was an artist who liked to paint and build things with his hands, a musician and a wonderful man who I am better for knowing," she added. "He will be missed but this world has benefited from his being here…”
