Merry Hill Shopping Centre robbery appeal after 'boy's bag taken at knifepoint'

Merry Hill Shopping Centre was the scene of a robbery, police have said. A boy was approached by two people at the popular site in Brierley Hill, Dudley, before they made off with his bag.

The victim was threatened with a knife in the ordeal which took place at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, March 26. Police are now appealing for information as they investigate what happened.

A CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to has been shared on social media. Officers believe that he may have information which could help their case.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Do you know who this is? We want to speak to him about a robbery in Brierley Hill in March.

"Shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday 26 March, a teenage boy was approached by two people at the Merry Hill shopping centre. The two threatened the boy with a knife before making off with his bag."
