Mesmerizing Dust Devil Swirls in Pocahontas, Arkansas

A dust devil was seen ripping through a field in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Wednesday, May 3.

Video recorded by Jason Hampton shows the mesmerizing spout slowing moving through the field.

“Biggest dirt devil I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot!” Hampton captioned the video on Twitter.

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted warm weather across Arkansas on Wednesday.

The NWS says dust devils typically form during clear skies and light wind, which creates the unstable condition of surface areas becoming much warmer than the air above it. Credit: Jason Hampton via Storyful
