Met office issues ice warning for Lincolnshire as temperatures to 'fall below freezing'
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice in Lincolnshire. The warning will be in place from 4pm on Thursday, January 9, until 10am on Friday, January 10.
The warning notification states: "Scattered wintry showers may lead to some icy patches." It predominately covers parts of north and east Lincolnshire, including places like Market Rasen, Woodhall Spa, Grimsby, Skegness and Spilsby.
Residents in these areas can expect some icy patches to form on untreated roads and there may be some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces. The Met Office warns: "Scattered wintry showers, occasionally feeding inland from the North Sea through Thursday evening and night, may lead to some icy patches on untreated surfaces as temperatures fall below freezing.
