MIC’s Ollie Locke and husband Gareth expecting twins via surrogate after heartbreaking miscarriages
Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke has announced that he and his husband Gareth are expecting twins via a surrogate after three years of trying.
The 35-year-old shared the joyous news on Instagram on Sunday with a video featuring their baby scan.
Captioning his post, the reality star penned: “We are beyond delighted to finally be able to share the news that we are expecting twin baby Locke-Lockes into the world this summer!
“You have all been so wonderful throughout the last 3 years of us trying to have a family and we promise to share every step of this adventure with you all.
“For all those on their own journey to become parents we are with you and sending all the baby dust your way!
“Thank you to our sensational surrogate @bex7ward for being the most incredible human, the love we have for you and your family is just another level! Xx.”
Their joyous news comes three months after Locke revealed that their surrogate suffered a miscarriage in December.
They made the heartbreaking announcement just days after they had confirmed that their surrogate had fallen pregnant following their third round of IVF.
Previously, the couple suffered a miscarriage at six weeks pregnant in 2021 during their first round of fertility treatment.
At the time, Locke said he had been left feeling “demasculated” that they had been unable to conceive.
Speaking on the Bali special of E4’s MIC, he told co-stars and pals Emily Blackwell and Miles Nazaire: “Can I tell you something really savage as well? And this is a weird, personal thing, and I know this isn’t how I should be feeling.
“And I know this, but I get so embarrassed. I haven’t even called my dad yet. Because I’m embarrassed by ...
“I’ll tell you the reason is, weirdly, I feel demasculated. And I know that’s really silly, but this is me talking frankly to you guys, and I know I shouldn’t feel like that, but I feel embarrassed that it hasn’t worked for us.
“And it’s so stupid, but I’m just waiting for long enough, for someone to tell dad, so I don’t have to. But embarrassment is such a weird emotion, to have when it’s actually like, that should be the last of your thoughts.”
