Michael Cera is showing off a dramatic blond hair transformation.

The 36-year-old actor attended the premiere of his latest film Sacramento at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday, June 8 with a wildly different look. Cera traded his usual light brown hair for bleach blond locks, rendering him almost unrecognizable at the event.

The star's red-tinted sunglasses added to his summery new style. He kept the rest of his ensemble casual with a cream-colored sweater over a collared shirt, blue trousers and brown shoes.

On the red carpet, Cera chatted with reporters and posed with costars including Michael Angarano, AJ Mendez and Iman Kerram. The road trip comedy also stars Kristen Stewart and Maya Erskine.

You probably didn't have Michael Cera going blond on your 2024 bingo card, but then again, fans never saw the Superbad actor's partnership with CeraVe coming either. Earlier this year, photos of the actor carrying large amounts of CeraVe skincare products began circulating on social media.

Model and influencer Haley Kalil then spotted Cera signing bottles of CeraVe products in a pharmacy in Brooklyn and shared the experience in an Instagram video.

In the clip, Cera says "Hi," says to Kalil when he notices her standing there. "That's a lovely cream," he adds pointing to the lotion before walking away.

A couple of days later, Cera appeared on Bobbi Althoff's The Really Good Podcast, where Althoff asked Cera about claims he made that he started the skincare brand.

"My name is Cera," he tells Altoff. "I don't claim that, but if you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera and people tend to draw the obvious."

He added, "I do like to say I have some skin in the game."

An official partnership between Cera and CeraVe was unveiled in February 2024 after he appeared in a SuperBowl commercial for the skincare brand. In the ad, the actor's claims that CeraVe is named after him is playfully debunked, reminding audiences that the "Cera" in CeraVe stands for "ceramides," not Michael Cera.
