Michael Olise has reportedly chosen to move to Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace this summer.

Olise, 22, was also linked with Liverpool, while Manchester City and Manchester United were said to have substantial interest in the Crystal Palace winger. But it has been claimed that only Chelsea and Newcastle contacted the Eagles over Olise from the Premier League.

Chelsea were also granted permission to speak with the player's representatives after expressing their interest in the France youth international to Palace. However, the west London club failed to reach an agreement during those negotiations after not meeting the player's financial demands.

The Athletic reported that the Stamford Bridge club have pulled out of the race before revealing the player's decision to join Bayern Munich. After eventually appointing a new head coach in Vincent Kompany, the German giants have been busy strengthening their squad, with Olise set to become their seventh signing since.

It will also become the biggest transfer out of the Premier League this summer. The player is widely reported to have a £60 million release clause in his Palace contract.

Olise's exit could start an exodus in south London this summer. Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi are both at the European Championship with England, with the latter impressing while the former has barely played despite a standout - albeit stop-start - season.
