Parkinson At 50 was repeated after the star passed away
Michael Parkinson fans said there “wasn’t a dry eye” as the BBC aired a tribute to the star after he died at 88.
The legendary talk show host passed away at home after a brief illness.
So the BBC repeated its Parkinson At 50 show, which originally aired in 2021.

The programme looked back at Parkinson’s career and told the story of his long-running show, where he interviewed stars such as Helen Mirren, Billy Connolly and Muhammad Ali.
Viewers who tuned it said it was a “moving” tribute to the TV icon.
One tweeted: “So many memories - he met so many remarkable people from the 20th Century.
"Is there anyone else like him?”
Someone else noted the way Parkinson “allowed the guest to be the star”, saying he was a “true TV great”.
“Superb and very moving coverage,” posted another.
“We've lost a great man.”
“Wow, just wow,” tweeted another fan.

One person said the show was “an incredible hour of entertainment”.

They went on: “Occasionally a celebrity dies which leaves a hole in your life. Parky was part of the fabric of my 46 years. RIP Michael.”
“Farewell to a legend,” said someone else, adding a crying emoji.
