Michael Parkinson's last public appearances before legendary presenter's death
Michael Parkinson appeared upbeat and in good spirits at his most recent sightings before his death aged 88.
Michael Parkinson, who has died at the age of 88, appeared in good spirits during his last couple of public appearances.
The broadcaster was last seen in public at the Hay Festival bookshop signing copies of his book My Sporting Life on May 28.
The legendary chat show host had kept a relatively low profile since taking a step back from his TV show in 2007.

The father-of-three was shown with a smile on his face as he signed copies of his memoir, just three months before his death.
"Parky", as he was affectionately known, was also seen in April celebrating at cricket umpire and long-time friend Dickie Bird's 90th birthday party.
The presenter, who has had a number of health conditions in recent years, was seen laughing with guests at Leeds' Headingley Stadium as they marked the special occasion.
