Michelle Pfeiffer broke her arm after slipping on a wet bathroom floor

Michelle Pfeiffer, who will star in the upcoming film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, says she broke her arm by slipping on the wet marble floor of a hotel bathroom.

While she did share that she was mindful of how dangerous the surface could be, Pfeiffer didn’t manage to escape unscathed.

The 61-year-old told Extra: "I was at a hotel and I got out and I saw really slippery marble floors... and I said to myself, 'Self, slippery floor, be careful.'"

It comes as Pfeiffer will be starring as Queen Ingrith in the sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent alongside Angelia Jolie, 44, and Elle Fanning, 21, who play Maleficent and Princess Aurora respectively.

Monday night saw the picture hold its premiere at the El Capitan theatre in Los Angeles where Jolie brought along her brood.

Five out the actress' six children were in attendance as her eldest son Maddox, 18, is currently studying in Singapore.

Supporting her at the premiere were Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, as well as twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

Jolie, who brought her children to set during the shooting of the first film, also explained to Extra how she wanted her children to understand her career as an actress.

She told the publication: "The good thing, I think, is I've wanted them to be exposed to it all... It's a part of their life. But it's not important to them and a centre of their lives in a way that's unhealthy, so it’s all fun.”

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil comes to cinemas on 18 October.
