Human Organs-on-Chips are microchips lined with human cells that replicate the way real human organs function.

The technology was designed by the Wyss Institute at Harvard University, where various human organs have been miniaturized into chips. They're being used to replace animals in drug testing and speed up the process of creating new, more effective medicine.
