Midlothian dad fumes as he catches SUV racing through scheme 'full of children'
A furious Midlothian dad has blasted a driver for 'dangerously' driving through an estate that is home to dozens of children.
The father-of-three, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared footage that shows the car travelling quickly along the road that is beside several homes, a playing field and local park.
The incident took place at around 8.36pm on Saturday May 11 on Charpentier Avenue, Loanhead, and saw a grey SUV racing along the quiet residential street.

"I was sat in my house when I heard an almighty clatter, that of what I can only describe as a shopping trolley being tipped over," said the dad. "I rushed outside to see what was happening as we have a car and work van outside our property.

"As I open the door, a grey SUV style car is absolutely hammering it along the top of Charpentier Avenue, having just smashed into a corner section of pavement. This section of street is a dead end, but as you can see in the video, the driver just continues straight ahead and drives up on the grass and turns left.
"We posted the video and several of those commenting said their car had been hit by the vehicle.

"There's a big play park across the road that's always busy, even more so with the lighter nights."
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
