Millions of people at risk of 10-year passport rule, warns Simon Calder
Millions of people are at risk of falling victim to a “passport 10-year rule”, The Independent’s travel expert Simon Calder has warned.
"It's complicated, but unfortunately so many people are falling foul of this - couple of hundred a day,” Mr Calder said during a BBC Breakfast interview today (27 March).
Since Brexit, EU countries will not accept British passports which are more than 10 years old upon entry.
Additionally, your passport needs to be at least three months away from its expiry date when leaving the EU.
Mr Calder revealed up to 32 million people are at risk of having their plans scuppered thanks to the rule.
