The actor will be joining Jason Momoa as Garrett 'The Garbage Man' Garrison. The Aquaman star was the first to be attached to the project which will be directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite). The film also stars Emma Myers (Wednesday), Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy, Lisey’s Story), with The White Lotus' Jennifer Coolidge.

The Minecraft movie is set to be released in cinemas on 4 April, 2025.
