Minnesota Deputies Take 'Polar Plunge' at Special Olympics Fundraising Event

Sheriff’s deputies in Onamia, Minnesota, plunged into icy-cold water on March 11, to raise money for the Minnesota Special Olympics.

This footage, released by the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office shows officers jumping off a boardwalk into the cold water of Mille Lacs Lake.

According to the Polar Plunge’s official Facebook page over 1,000 participants from Buffalo, Eden Prairie and Mille Lacs, raised $316,000 for the Special Olympics Minnesota.
