Miranda Kerr has said she “adores” her ex-husband Orlando Bloom’s fiancée Katy Perry.

Kerr and Bloom split in 2013 and share nine-year-old son Flynn - and she has revealed she is “so happy” her ex has found happiness with the Firework singer.

Australian-born Kerr made the comments while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Appearing by video call, the 37-year-old told Barrymore: “I adore Katy and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing.”

Kerr, who has been married to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel since 2017, added: “I'm just so grateful that Orlando and Katy found each other and I'm so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other.

“We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that's the most important thing."

Praising Kerr and Bloom’s approach to parenting, Barrymore said: "It's such an amazing example of how we all can create that narrative and behave that way and set a tone for everybody."

Bloom and Perry began dating in 2016 and split the following year. They reignited their relationship in 2018 and announced their engagement a year later.

They welcomed daughter Daisy Dove in August of this year, with Kerr being one of the first to congratulate them on social media

"I'm so happy for you guys. Can't wait to meet her,” she posted on both their Instagram pages.
