Mischa Barton To Make Her TV Return On Dancing With The Stars

Mischa Barton has been pretty quiet since playing Marissa Cooper on The OC, but now she’s set to return to US television screens.

However, this time, she won’t be playing a character - Instead, she’ll be putting on her ballroom shoes for a stint on Dancing With The Stars.

Entertainment Tonight report that Mischa will appear on the next series and will be partnered with Artem Chigvintsev, who was a professional on Strictly Come Dancing from 2010-2013.

Mischa played Marissa on The OC from 2003-2006, and has had a series of other TV and movie roles since, though seemingly nothing quite as big as The OC.

According to ET, Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee will join Mischa, as will Full House actress Jodie Sweetin, Facts of Life’s Kim Fields, America’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco.

Dance professional Derek Hough, who has won the show six times, won’t be returning this season after winning with Bindi Irwin in November.

The full line-up will be revealed on March 8.
