UPDATE: Missing 14-year-old Gun Barrel City teen returns home

UPDATE: The Gun Barrel City Police Department said Lotzer was found and is now home with his parents.


GUN BARREL CITY, Texas (KETK) — The Gun Barrel City Police Department is searching for a 14-year-old boy last seen on Wednesday.

Remains discovered by Smith County Sheriff’s Office identified as missing Tyler man

According to a release, Jacob Lotzer has been missing since Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. Lotzer is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Officials said he was last seen wearing black shorts and a sports jersey.

Lotzer reportedly left his residence and “was supposed to be going to the Liberty Baptist Church located at 141 Manning Street Gun Barrel City.”

Anyone who has seen Lotzer or know his whereabouts is asked to contact the police department at 903-887-7151.
