MNW Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Georgia celebrate 25 years of empowering youth

May 3—THOMASVILLE — The MNW Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Georgia will celebrate its 25th anniversary Thursday, May 9, at the club's gymnasium, 219 Fletcher St. The club has been serving the youth of Thomasville and Thomas County since May 17, 1999.

For 25 years, the MNW Boys & Girls Clubs have played a crucial role in the community, operating not just as an after-school and summer program, but as a pivotal, life-changing, and for many, a life-saving institution, the clubs said in a press release. With a steadfast vision that success is within reach of every child, the organization has worked toward ensuring that every child who enters its doors is on a path to graduate high school with a plan for their future, equipped with good character and citizenship, and leading a healthy lifestyle. In 2012, the MNW Boys & Girls Club expanded operations to bring the Jackie Robinson Boys & Girls Club to serve the youth in Grady County.

"As we approach this 25th Anniversary, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have been part of this journey — donors, sponsors, volunteers, community partners, parents, former Club members, and staff," said Resource Development Director Tiffany Davis. "Your contributions have been instrumental in shaping the organization's success and in making a difference in the lives of countless young people. In celebration of this milestone, we aim to raise $250,000 in 2024 to continue our mission and expand our impact. This year's dinner promises to be an unforgettable event, featuring a distinguished panel of former club alumni, the organization's dedicated CEO, and key stakeholders, all sharing their insights on the powerful influence of the MNW Boys & Girls Clubs in our community."

Sponsorship opportunities for the 25th Anniversary Dinner are still available, starting at $600.
