Molly Ringwald’s perfectly marvelous road to becoming a mom began with one simple place.

Ringwald revealed in a new interview with the Times that she conceived her daughter, Mathilda, at Studio 54.

The “Sixteen Candles” actress, 56, shares Mathilda, 20, and twins Roman and Adele, 14, with husband Panio Gianopoulos.

“I believe that Mathilda was conceived in the dressing room at Studio 54 right at the end of my run playing Sally Bowles in ‘Cabaret’ in 2003,” she said.

“It’s so Mathilda to be conceived in such an iconic place.”

Ringwald appeared as flapper jazz singer Sally Bowles in the Broadway revival of “Cabaret” from December 2001 until April 2002.

The “Secret Life of the American Teenager” alum was 36 when she got pregnant, saying that she “always knew” she wanted a family.

“At that age the biological clock is a real thing and it had kind of become deafening,” she noted. “All I could think about was: must have kids.”

Mathilda recently dipped her toes into the acting world, and will appear in the upcoming Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine romance “The Idea of You.”

The “Pretty in Pink” star, however, slams the “ridiculous” nepo baby label.

“Of course if you have a parent in the industry, it’s something that you’ve heard about and might be genetically predisposed to,” she stated. “We wouldn’t let Mathilda pursue acting when she was a child, as we wanted her to concentrate on being a kid. She fought us on that — she’s still kind of mad about it, but it was the right decision.”

Ringwald continued: “I don’t think that professional acting is a great way for kids to grow up.”

The “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” actress has given her daughter Hollywood advice along the way.

She told People that allowing her daughter to act is “something that we thought a lot about.”

“She learned how to do it before but it’s a hard job and I think she knows what she’s in for,” Ringwald joked in October 2023, adding that she told Mathilda to always “remember people’s names.”

Mathilda chimed in, telling the outlet that her famous mom taught her to “be prepared to wait and be nice.”
