The moment train passengers heading back from Edinburgh broke out in song was captured on video - and they had help from a musician.

The spontaneous sing-a-long was posted on TikTok showing a bagpiper playing classic Scottish songs as the passengers cheer and clap along.

In a second clip, the small crowd sings in unison. According to the TikTok, the passengers encouraged the piper to play on Sunday.

On the TikTok posted by Abbie, has the caption: "When all the drunk people on the train home Edinburgh find out there's a piper and they make him play for everyone."

She added: "The most random train journey home ever but also cute and wholesome."

In the short clip, the piper plays Scotland the Brave tune as passengers clap and cheer along. It then cuts to him playing Flower of Scotland.

It is at this moment the whole carriage can be heard singing the lyrics patriotically and the piper can be seen smiling between breaths.

One commented: "Average Tuesday."

Another joked: "I'd rather walk."
