This is the dramatic moment an officer aimed a Taser at a suspect in a garden after a chase through the Black Country. The pursuit began after Dudley police officers spotted a cloned Audi being driven in the area.

The chase involved a police helicopter, along with traffic police and officers from Dudley Police. As they closed in on the driver, he crashed the blue Audi - which was shown in images today shared by officers.

Following the crash, the suspect ran from the car but was "soon arrested" after a foot chase. He can be seen in the corner of a garden as an officer points a yellow Taser towards him.

Later checks found the suspect was also disqualified from driving at the time. WMPTraffic shared the news of the arrest to X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday afternoon, June 30. They said: "RoadCrimeTeam officers working on #OpAdvance with @dudleypolice pursued this cloned Audi with the help of @npasmidlands before the driver crashed.

"He decamped but was soon arrested after a foot chase & checks found he was already disqualified from driving as well. #TeamWork."

The arrest came as part of Operation Advance, which was announced in Dudley earlier this week. Anthony Tagg, commander for Dudley Local Policing Area, had said: "On June 28, Operation Advance returns to Dudley following success last year.

"It's a day of hyper-intensive policing activity across the borough where local officers and staff are joined by colleagues from across the force, local partners, volunteers in the community to carry out policing operations, conduct warrants, arrest offenders and bring to justice those who are causing most harm to our communities."
