LONDON (Reuters) - Six percent of workers in Britain who were on partial or furlough leave returned to work in the two weeks to Aug. 23, the Office for National Statistics said on Thursday.

The ONS said 36% of the workforce were working remotely instead of at their normal place of work while 49% were working at their normal place of work.

Last week, the office said 11% of the workforce remained on partial or furlough leave. The next update on the share of the workforce on partial or furlough leave is due next week.
