Morgan Stanley on the hunt for British fintechs
Morgan Stanley is poised to get its hands on a British fintech firm — but which one?
Late last year, the US giant’s investment management arm raised $1.2 billion across two funds, North Haven Expansion Credit and North Haven Expansion Equity, which “target late-stage growth equity and credit investments in technology, healthcare, consumer, digital media and other high-growth sectors.”
At the end of March, the latter of the two funds registered a new entity with Companies House in the UK called Fintech Acquisition Limited.
Morgan Stanley wouldn’t tell Spy who the fund’s managers had their eyes on and how much they wanted to spend. But if you’re a fintech boss looking for a quick sale, now’s the time to pick up the phone.
