Viewers of This Morning were left appalled after TV chef Rustie Lee appeared to accidentally cross-contaminate raw and cooked food during a slot on the show.

Veteran West Indian-born cook Lee had been brought on the wake of the furore of Jamie Oliver’s new ‘punchy jerk rice’ product, which has been called out for both cultural appropriation and failing to use many of the ingredients of jerk seasoning.

Lee intended to show viewers the proper way to make jerk chicken.

But it was soon spotted that she used the same gloved hands to handle the final cooked chicken as she had to handle the raw chicken.

Presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes then tucked in, unaware of the contamination, and much to the horror of viewers.

Of course, Twitter was soon alight.

It was the same episode of the show in which Twitter lit up about another segment in which Langsford admitted weeing in the shower, with a massive 72 percent of viewers also admitting to it in a poll.
