This Morning viewers say 'stunning' as Sian Welby returns just days after giving birth

This Morning viewers were left stunned over Sian Welby's appearance just days after giving birth. The radio and TV presenter, who regularly appears on This Morning as a showbiz reporter and has co-hosted alongside Dermot O'Leary, returned to the ITV show on Monday (July 1).

Appearing from her home, the Capital FM Breakfast show host spoke to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about her experience of becoming a first-time mum. It comes just days after Sian, 37, confirmed the safe arrival of her daughter Ruby with her fiancé Jake Beckett.

Sian announced the news that she and partner Jake Beckett were expecting their first child back in February. Announcing the news live on Capital FM alongside former host Roman Kemp and co-star Chris Stark, she said: "I’ve got a bit of an announcement for you... I’m pregnant! I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it from you for so long...".

She later revealed her baby's gender live on air alongside co-stars Chris and Jordan North, who replaced Roman after his departure.

Sian told Capital FM listeners: "It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to share this pregnancy with you all. Before I go off on baby leave I've decided I want to share one more thing with everyone. We are a family.

"And I have told my nearest and dearest what me and Jake are having because we did find out the sex...So I've decided as a huge thank you to all of you that have been on this journey with me, I'm gonna tell you what I'm having" and exclaimed: "It's a girl."

Now, she has joined the This Morning hosts to discuss her first few days of parenthood since giving birth last week. Speaking from her newborn's nursery at their home in London, Sian beamed as she spoke about how her dreams had 'come true'.

"It's the best thing I've ever done, I'm absolutely over the moon, I'm in love. I'm loving every second despite it being absolute carnage at times," she told Ben and Cat. She later revealed that she had to have an emergency c-section.

Despite having just given birth a few days ago, Cat and Ben pointed out how amazing she looks. And fans were quick to compliment the new mum too.

Viewers of This Morning took to X to congratulate her, with one saying: "Congrats to you and Jake on the birth of your baby girl welcome to the world ruby great interview today," as another said: "Congrats, Sian looks amazing," and @Rachellawless76 added: "Sian comes across as a lovely person love her on capital . Congratulations to you all."

Another wrote: "OMG Sian Welby looks better than ever. To think she's only given birth a few days ago," as a fifth shared: "I did not look like this after I gave birth. Sian is stunning."
