This Morning's Alison Hammond shows off amazing weight loss on ITV show

This Morning's beloved host, Alison Hammond, has flaunted a noticeably slimmer figure, attributing her transformation to a new fitness routine she's been following. On Friday, co-hosting the show with Josie Gibson, the 49-year-old presenter donned skinny jeans, a white blouse and a cropped jacket as she participated in a fitness segment of the programme. Led by the show's resident doctor, Dr Zoe, Alison took part in an exercise designed to strengthen the knees.

She confessed that she had been experiencing knee pain but has been enhancing her fitness through weight training. The mother-of-one embarked on a weight-loss journey in 2020 after the heartbreaking loss of her mother. Since then, she has eliminated sugar from her diet, which has visibly helped her shed pounds.

Speaking on Lorraine Kelly's podcast two years ago, Alison admitted that she sometimes looked at herself in the mirror and noticed her voluptuous figure. She said: "Sometimes I look at myself and go, 'Wow, I am a big girl'. But I like taking up a bit of space. I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don't think I'm hurting anyone," reports the Mirror.

In a heartfelt dialogue, she said: "We're all going to die eventually. I might die a little bit sooner, but I'm going to live my life to the fullest. And if I do die sooner, I'm going to have a fantastic life. I'm going to have a wonderful life. I'm 47 now, I don't know how long I'm going to go on for."

The ITV show's host Dermot O'Leary recently bowed out, making space for Josie to step in - a move embraced by fans who cherished the lively duo's on-screen chemistry. Making an entrance that was a nod to Thelma and Louise, they arrived at the studio in a sports car. One viewer enthused on X platform: "Hilarious. Never boring when Alison and Josie are on. We need to see more of them and Dermot and Rylan."

Another chimed in: "Love Alison Dermot Josie and Rylan. Makes me want to watch again." Yet another comment read: "Why can't we always have Alison and Josie presenting? They're the best and a great laugh."

A fourth fan expressed: "Like Josie and Alison together #ThisMorning." Alison Hammond explained her co-host Dermot O'Leary's absence, saying: "Dermot's on holiday this week. He deserves the break!

"But you [Josie] are my Louise to my Thelma, my partner in crime. Josie Gibson! " Not long before, Alison had hinted at a split from her younger boyfriend David Putnam during an online Q&A. Responding to a question about her happiness, she told fans that true joy comes from within.

This followed reports of David spending his birthday solo and rumours that his mother disapproved of their 20-year age difference.
